In 2008, after the usual long process of research and selection of the next USDS Foreign Service assignment – after much contemplation of which country would be the MOST pet friendly, safe and secure – we were on our next assignment to the country of Malta. At this point, this was the ninth move with USDS, with a total in 11 relocations in 24 years. And, each move has its own interesting challenges.
Deputy Dog Tayla had her own passport (seriously!) and she worked along-side her special agent at the U.S. Embassy in the island-country of Malta, located in the Mediterranean Sea, south of Sicily (Italy).  (Longer version of this story to follow…)
